XP to Vista?

Was wondering...
 
How hard would it be for me to load Vista on my machine?  Will this give me a headache?  Should I format my drive then load Vista?  Just wondering cause I have no idea and it seems Vista has finally gotten to a stable point.  Currently I'm running XP Pro SP3. Thx.  Glad to be back trolling the forums after 6 months.

you need to do a fresh install of vista for best results, double check and make sure all your parts are compatible with vista 64bit
