Upgraded my memory from 6 GB to 12 GB today and made the dumb mistake of setting the BIOS to 1600 on an OC PC. 1600 is really 2:12 and my clock was running at 180 Mhz so 12 X 180 = 2160 which locked up the PC no video and no way to get to BIOS etc. Had to hit the cmos reset to get the video and bios screen back.

Of course this wiped out my OC and the saved profiles I had.

I have a trouble ticket in with DS to help me reOC my PC from 2.66 to 3.60 like it was running. Wish I had saved a copy of my settings somewhere other than the profile in BIOS. Oh well live and learn.

Thankfully I know that DS will help me but I feel bad since I caused the problem myself.

I am happy with the 12 GB and can see that it is being used for caching etc while playing BF4 etc. I think the 12 GB will be a nice addition. Now when I get my OC back I will be back in good shape.

Awesome! It's good to know that DS is keeping tracking of those details years down the road. Overclocking is an intimidating discipline.
