What Game to Play?

I have a new DS computer about 3.5 shipping days from reaching me.  I no longer have to work for a living, but was an art dealer, and am buying this computer for about 50% working with art images and HD video clips. But the other 50% of computer use I figure will be with games. I have never played computer games since Myst.

What games should I consider?  I don't have the reflexes I had when I was younger, and suspect that fast reaction FPS games are not going to work well for me, no matter what the computer system with which I am working.  This may not even be the right forum for me. But if you can make suggestions, fine, and if not, then tell me which forum to go to.

You will need to download Steam...located in the upper right of the screen. Based on the fact that you mention the game Myst you may like a game called Portal, and Portal 2.

Also check out half life and half life 2. All of those are on Steam.

Yea steam is just hands down amazing.

Love it or hate it you can't get as many games cheaper without ever leaving your house.

Steam can get dangerous. I was bored and bought Bioshock Infinite the other day, $60 just gone right off the credit card! To Steam's credit, it does have amazing things going for it and as an older gentleman I do not have to go into a PFY store and feel out of place

Although new Triple A titles are the same price as stores, you can probably keep yourself entertained for years just by buying whatever is on sale. They have Grand Theft Auto 4 on sale this weekend for $5. That's cheaper than going to the movies and you'll spend more than a couple hours playing it.

Since you haven't played a lot games in the past few years, and have an amazing looking computer I would recommend the following games:

Knights of the Old Republic (1) and (2) are on Steam for $10 each. Story is fantastic and gameplay is very fun.

I know you posted in the RPG forum, but I really enjoyed Assassin's Creed series for it's story and action.

Of course you will need to pick up The Elder Scrolls! I suggest playing through Oblivion first and then Skyrim. You can really crank up the details in Skyrim through mods to make it look gorgeous.
