So I got my Vanquish yesterday, and I love it so far!

My first impression of it, this thing is huge as hell! Much bigger than I expected. I had to take out a little shelf in me desk to fit it. I get it setup, and I notice just how fast it boots, I knew SSD's were loved for this but I didn't expect it to be that fast. There were some concerns a little early on, but Alex and Jericho were more than helpful!

The box looked like it had a little bit of a rough ride, so I was a little concerned. But upon opening it, the case looked perfect.

I haven't had the chance to game on it yet (Currently installing witcher 2 to really test this beast!) But so far I am very happy. Will post some as soon as I get some good ones!

Digital storm, I am very happy with your product. If I am still too uncomfortable to build my own next time around, you can bet I'll order from you again (I do like the apollos.....)

It ran Witcher 2 on ultra at extremely great FPS! Its amazing, I've never been able to play without it being on low, and even then, it was pretty low FPS. Making me excited for 3.

I do have a slight concern though, while playing there was a vibrating/bzzing type sound coming from the PC, but as soon as I exited to the menu it stopped.

I'll try and get better pics soon, but heres what I got!

So after some research, it seems like the sound I'm hearing might be coil whine. Should I be concerned? Again, I only really hear it during in game stuff, not the menu.

Try re-installing the video drivers, doing a 'clean install'.

Also with the computer off and unplugged, remove and reinstall the video card making sure it is firmly seated.

Vanquish II Ultimate.
I was laying in bed looking up at the stars and wondered "where is my ceiling?"

It's not really a huge issue, everything seemed fine when I opened it the first time. I just worry about every little thing with new toys like this

Thanks for the update and glad the machine is everything you wanted.... Also, as I am looking at Witcher 2 before Witcher 3 comes out, thanks for the update.

The only thing that concerns me is that space you have the machine in. Even though the upper vents are clear I wonder how much room you have in the back for ventilation? Also, remember that the PSU fan and filter are the bottom at the back; it looks that that could become a hotspot in that space.

Just me, being paranoid with heat.. nothing new here.   

Keep a weather on your temps and game on!

Greatly recommend the game snaike!

And yeah, I was thinking about that awhile ago too. I'm actually thinking about moving it to the top of my desk, for the heat and cause it has that sweet window But I have a cat that likes to climb on things she shouldnt

I, too, have what my kids referred to as "destructo-kitty". My solution was a mist sprayer near the computer desk.. whenever the cat came near the machine she got a face full of misted water. She leaves the computer desk alone and gives it a wide berth when she passes by.

Thank you for posting your review with pictures. The unit should not make any loud noises, but you might hear a electrical buzzing, which is also called coil whine from the graphics card or even power supply. This is typically normal as long as it's not really loud.

I was just happy to learn coil whine was nothing bad, and merely an annoyance. It only happens when I'm in game, usually have headphones on while I am so its no biggy.
