Hey FattyBluntface...

According to the devs, for the moment, the answer is "probably"...

There will be a lot of optimization in the next 24-months, plus the usual fast pace of technology, so it is hard to say absolutely. At the moment you will be able to play it on a dual core PC with a GTX 460 or greater and 4GB of system memory. If you’re running an i7 2500, 2600, 2700 or better with a GTX 670 or greater then the stars are the limit! Since the game is built on CryEngine, their system requirements will stay roughly the same as ours.

....

As Star Citizen is based on CryEngine used to power Crysis 3, you'll need a fairly powerful system to run it at full graphics settings; an Intel Core i7 2500 with an Nvidia GeForce GTX 670 should be ideal for playing at 1080p..

Keep in mind that the game, as they say, isn't optimized yet, so you'll likely see some performance issues.  This is true with all early access / alpha games.  Even with the Rust Legacy/Experimental games I see some unusual stress and heat with the GTX760...  But that will change with optimization and full release.

Good luck.

In addition:

The current estimate for the full release of Star Citizen is end of 2016.

Star Citizen Release date

Given Star Citizen's modular design and entirely fluid launch schedule, every part of the game is likely to arrive earlier or later than originally anticipated. Based on current estimates, the final, finished game should arrive at the end of 2016, which seems like a long way away right now, but players will have had access to certain modules for several years by that point.

If you're desperate to get into space, there are plenty of ways to do it without waiting for a full retail release.

Thanks for your response. Could I upgrade the Vanquish II to core i5 in the future?
