Hi all,

I purchased a Vanquish I (level 3) three days ago, and today I just noticed the Vanquish II in its place on the website.

I'm just curious about the difference between these two systems.  The stats posted on the sales page are the same except for the motherboard, and the price of the Vanquish II is actually $100+ lower at level 3.

What (besides the price drop) is different about the Vanquish II (level 3)?

Thanks!

I believe the mobo is the difference. If memory serves, you have the z87-c full size board and the new config is the H81m mini board.

Different mobo, new case and lighting color (Smile) are the difference in price.

Still a solid machine.

Congrats on your new rig.

Congrats on your new system. You've still got an awesome rig coming and DS made changes to make the Vanquish line more affordable.

Please post up how you like it once you receive it. I was looking @ the level 3 system when it was 1,000 dollars. I then decided to save up more and get the level 4. I think you will be happy with it.

Hah I kinda know you feel TC.  I bought a vanquish level 3 in January and my budget was basically the cost of the old V3. I may have stretched my budget another hundred for the gtx 770 and a SSD in the new v2 level 4.

I do agree the old level 3 is better then the new level 3.  But the new level 4 might be better.  I know its a matter opinion but as someone who has little interest in overclocking or running 2 video cards, the current 4 is probably a better bang for my buck.  I definatly like the case I got a lot better though.

But I cant complain that much, I have been enjoying the hell out of my new system the last couple months and I do understand computer stuff is always changing.  Even when reading reviews before I bought my vanquish I was noticing people who bought one even a few months before me had different set ups then was being offered at the time I bought it.

this was the case in the prior vanquish's.  You can find pics of peoples system in other threads if you wanted to see how DS built it
