Hows it going, wondering if you guys know if it's possible to get the vanquish with 16 gigs of ram instead of 8. Tried calling digital storm, but it's impossible to get a sales person. I'm looking for a desktop that will play witcher 3 on high settings at least, not sure that 8 gigs of ram is enough. Thanks.

The Vanquish line of systems is one of our "pre-builds" meaning they offer no customization options.
You can purchase additional ram yourself and upgrade the system after you buy it! A small PSA: I've seen some articles stating that even the recommended specs can only handle 1080p on medium-high settings. Take this with a grain of salt as the article is 3 months old but it is something to consider. http://wccftech.com/the-witcher-3-1080p-ps4-optimization-issues/ |

Ye sadly I guess a digital storm system with 16 gigs is out of my budget, thank you.

You will most likely be fine with 8GB as long as you don't try to do any heavy multitasking while also playing a fullscreen 1080p game.
RAM is also quite cheap and can be upgraded further down the road if you do happen to run into any issues. Edited by Steven - 15 May 2015 at 11:11am |

I definitely wouldn't miss out on ordering the Vanquish because it comes with 8GB ram. Like Steven said, it is very easy to add, relatively inexpensive and 8gb is all you probably need, anyways.
It is the best deal out there. Some other vendors do have 16gb as their base ram, but you also need to look at the other components. They do it for marketing and not because it's needed. While 16gb has become the standard, and some think is necessary, it really isn't. Good luck in whatever decision you make. |
