Was looking around for a while for a solid pre-built. Went and ordered a vanquish 2(lvl4) since overall its solid for the money. Id like more headroom, but as I'm in desperate need of a new pc it will do for a while assuming everything arrives perfectly. As i live in Georgia I'm really far from DS so my main concern is delivery damage.
Anyone have any particularly bad delivery experiences?

Some people might experience shipping damage, others won't it's very rare but possible. I myself didn't have shipping damage and i live in Arkansas.

That's always a good sign, but I've never been particularly lucky or fortunate. Stage 1 went through fine at least(no payment glitches).

I wouldn't worry too much about shipping damage for a system like the VANQUISH II. We take extensive measures to ensure units arrive safely, even if they get mishandled along the way.

The really high-end, delicate builds with multiple liquid cooled video cards are the ones with high risk of damage. Yet, those are the ones we usually ask customers to send via freight delivery, not UPS/FedEx.

Did kinda wanna ask another question. Since the vanquish line isn't customizable and doesn't come with a wireless card, anyone know a good solid usb adapter? My house is set up on a wireless network and the router and stuff are in the upstairs bedrooms(somewhere b/w 15-30 feet away i think). Router is a Belkin.

I can speak to your first point, shipping damages to Vanquish machines.
 
The machine itself is elegance in simplicity.  When you unpack the machine you will be able to see most (if not all) connections and can verify connectivity with a glance.
 
Enjoy your new machine.  I, too, have the Vanquish II (4) and am really pleased.

So I hadn't received any emails on the status of my order so i decided to check my order through my customer panel. Says its already on stage 6(when it was at stage 1 Friday) seeing as no one works the weekends that seems rather fast.

They're pre-built and tested, so sounds right.  Plus, DS I believe when they're backed up, will work weekends in assembly  / testing, to get the units built.

Heh, considering what I've been playing on, bit of an understatement. Assuming everything's good to go when it gets here. It'll be great to play above minimum settings for once in years.

I don't think you'll have any issues. My only concern is that these guys are 6 hours awayWhoa. If they had set up shop FOUR hours away, I could have made that drive and be playing by now.Awesome

32 miles. That's all that separated me from the Vanquish when it was done... oh, besides an entire weekend!

That makes delivery/returns really fast though. If you ever want them to upgrade for you(assuming you don't wanna do it yourself) it'd be quick and simple.

Work keeps me busy enough(especially if i work weekends too), so that's not an issue.

Just got my rig via ups, everything looks to be in place. Not sure but there are some cables towards the front of the case(bottom) not hooked to anything. Are those just extra or something?

Most rigs have extra cables from the power supply.  Most likely sata and 4 pin peripheral cables to be used to add additional drives, etc.

You can update windows, you don't have to update video card drivers unless you need to or want to. I haven't updated my graphic card drivers in over a year, i haven't had a need to. But if you do update your graphic drivers do it off the Nvidia site.

Mine shipped to Virginia with no issues. Although it would have been nice it if came with a large pizza so I wouldn't have to worry about food for the first day or so. Having to cook cut into my gaming time.

Heh, ya i went without eating for a while, everything is set up at the moment. I need a new headset though the current one doesn't function right and i forgot how i got it to work with my old pc.
So far so good. The 20 resets while windows updated was annoying though.

Side note gtx770 is a PNY which looks solid.
