Hi everyone! Today I purchased my first system from DS and the excitement is almost at critical mass! I've picked out the Vanquish 2 Level 3, I figured it was a good entry-level gaming rig (this is my first specifically for gaming), and it fits my budget.

Now I cannot wire the system to my modem because of the distance between where I'm setting it up and the modem. So it's gotta be wireless. My knowledge on computers is limited so this is where I hope the community can help me out. I'm leaning towards a PCI card as opposed to a USB adapter.
Now on to the questions:
1) With the motherboard in the level 3 being a mini-ATX will there be an open PCI port that will support a PCI card?
2) If not is there a USB adapter someone could recommend?
3) If there is an open port, is there a card someone could recommend? I'm going to be gaming online mostly, and the price isn't much of an obstacle, but I'm not really looking for top of the line.

Thanks for reading and thanks in advance for helping me out!

Hi Camp96..... Congrats on your new Vanquish level 3.

The mobo does have an open Pciex1 slot for your WiFi card. Just make sure the card is PciE x1.

I've never looked into them, but Tp-link, Asus, etc should all get the job done.

Have fun.

Hi Camp96,

Have you considered moving your modem to the computer. Your local provider could do that for not too much money. I would hate to have my modem or router where I couldn't look at them and see what is going on with the system.

Thanks for the replies folks!
Unfortunately Frank the modem is near our TV in the living room so the dish and roku can be connected, and I'd face quite the battle trying to change that.
Thank you very much bprat22, I should be able to go from here!
Happy holidays everyone!

Easiest option is a simple USB adapter. The NetGear 300 or 600 plugs into your USB port and you're wireless (for all of $30 or so)

My modem is across several rooms and with nary a fault.
