So I decided to upgrade the living room PC. I threw in a 4930k, Rampage IV Black Edition, 32GB (4x8GB) Corsair Dominator Plat 2400mhz Ram, and a couple of GTX 780's...
It has a simple H100i cooling it. They can't all be winners. took me 1.35v (with a realistic 1.37-1.38vcore) to get a stable 4.4ghz. At least it stays under 60C. (Yes I realize the ss shows a fresh Prime95 starting up... that's because I ran it for 12 hours, and didn't screen shot it, so I quicker started it back up and let it run for about 10m to let the temp settle back at it's peak with the vcore peaking also). I kind of wish I would have bought the protection just so I could throw like 1.7 volts at it to fry it on purpose to get another one. |

Thanks... I wish I could have stayed at like 1.325 or lower for a 4.4ghz... but, eh... "they can't all be winners".
