    Posted: 11 Mar 2014 at 11:50am
Hello, Yesterday I cloned my Samsung 256GB 840 Pro to  a new Samsung 1TB 840 EVO. The clone was successful using XXClone. OS, games, flight sim, files, all of it cloned perfect. The alignment of the disk was good also, however, the only problem I have since the clone is that the system clock does not keep the right time since the clone? I went into bios to check to check the time there and it was wrong also? I bought my Hailstorm ll last July and never had a problem with the clock.  I did not check the battery because never had a reason to maybe til now? This was my first clone and I don't know if that had any thing to do with it. Has anyone else heard of this? My MB is an Asus Sabertooth Z 87.  I did not flash the bios, never did that before. Don't know if that will help? Anyway, if anybody might know a fix for this I sure would appreciate it. I really need the clock and date to work...... Thanks

Regards

Lamar Wright

Sounds like the battery but I'd try this first...

Turn off and unplug the rig.   Hold power button in for several seconds and then plug in , etc and try it.

Clear CMOS. Check your mobo manual for procedure. Probably a jumper on mobo. If you clear CMOS, you'll need to reload overclock profile in Bios.

Hi Bprat22, tried solutions and clock still after about 30 min after reset clock the time changes? I set the bios clock and then the system clock and clock is fine for 30 min or so. This is real weird, never had this to happen. Any thing else I can try?

I would disconnect your rig from the internet, wifi or Ethernet, to make sure it's not setting your clock to the wrong time. Play a game or whatever for an hour or so and check the clock.

If still a problem, probably the battery.

Got one more thing. Hahaha

Right click the task bar clock, select adjust time, go to Internet Time tab , change settings and Update Now to sync to internet.

Running the Windows Repair with OS disc might find a corrupted file.

You and another are having system clock issues on the forum.  Must be a bug going around. Big%20Smile
