Which kind of monitor panel is better?

The ASUS ROG PB278Q 27" is a PLS panel but I heard the ASUS PG278Q 27" is a TN panel and it costs more. Is TN panel better or worse? I hear good and bad things about certain monitor panels.

TN will have faster response rate, but IPS or PLS will have better color saturation and off-axis viewing. VA (typically used in TVs) will have much better contrast than the other technologies, but the response rate will be slower, still.

With the PG278Q, you're essentially paying the extra $$$ for G-SYNC and the extra refresh rate. One monitor (the PG278Q) is meant for gaming while the other (PB278Q) is more for photo/professional work.
