    Posted: 17 Aug 2012 at 11:46am
So I'll be purchasing a Marauder Level 2 computer here in the next couple days, and I just want to make sure that it's going to be able to run all my games pretty good. Now, I don't really know jack squat about computers, hence why I'm buying one instead of building one. So, I plan on having BF3, WoW, LoL, MW2, MW3, Dragon Age ll, Skyrim and maybe a couple smaller games just for fun. I know that's a lot, but I enjoy my games. So, are all these going to fry the hell out of my computer or will I be pretty safe with this computer for these games? The computer specs I think are:

Processor: AMD Bulldozer FX-8120 Zambezi (3.1GHz) (8 Core) (8 MB Cache) AM3+ Socket
Motherboard: ASUS
M5A97 (AMD 970 Chipset) (SATA 6 and USB 3.0) (Socket AM3+)
System Memory:
8GB DDR3 1600MHz Corsair Vengeance Series (High-Performance)
Power Supply:
600W Corsair GS

Granted, I have absolutely no idea what any of that means. >.< but I'm trying. Any help you guys could give me would be perfect. Thanks so much. Awesome

Hi Darkhexxon....   Alot depends on the monitor size and resolution you'll be playing with.  And, what graphic settings in-game would be good for you.

Here's a link that shows the HD 7770, the one in Marauder 2, and what you would roughly get for fps with different games and resolutions.

Hope this helps.  Big%20Smile

EDIT   here's a link for other games with Hd 7770/7750.. in crossfire, 2x 7770, and single card like Marauder 2.

http://www.techspot.com/review/501-amd-radeon-hd-7770-7750-crossfire/  Below each chart are the resolutions like 1680x 1050, 1920x1200, etc

I'll be using a screen from Asus. I believe it's 1920 x 1080 resolution and I don't care about playing on SUPER high graphics. But not really low either.

A quick scan of some of the bench tests, I would guess with a 1920x1080 resolution the Marauder 2 would play games like BF3 and MW3 on Medium settings and keep fps in the 40's or 50's and Dragon Age 2 on high settings .

Just estimates.

Another thought.   I don't work for DS so this isn't a sales pitch , but if you could go another $200 for the Marauder 3 you would have a graphics card, the HD 7850, with about a 50% better fps, a better processor, a hard drive twice the size and a much better processor extreme cooler.

But, I know how tight money can be so your call as always.  The Marauder 2 will give you good gaming.  I've played BF3 on Medium settings and enjoyed it.

Good Luck.

While yes, you can always go faster with more money, the Marauder 2 will allow you to enjoy those games at great visuals and fluid smooth gameplay.

hexxon, if you're familiar with console gaming, a valid comparison would be "there is NO comparison" (As in, most any PC, let alone the Marauder 2, will blow them out of the water)

You should be able to max out most games on the market right now with a few settings dialed down for the more demanding games (like BF3). The lowered settings on alot of games aren't even that noticeable at 1920x1200 anyways.

I would save up for the marauder level 3 instead of the level 2, well thats what I am doing, (alot better specs than the level 2) but its all up to your budget :)

I actually sucked it up and bought the level 4, and I love it. It's only $100 more than the 3, I would have to recommend it. It kicks ass.
