Budget:
$1500-$2800

Expectations:
I had already settled on my final build here #925860, but while waiting for my tax returns, the extra time has me second guessing myself. Basically I want be able to play today's games and any games for the next two years @ 1080p smoothly on ultra. So I just want the barebones minimum to get the job done for now, and then upgrade a couple years from now. I have the $2800, but I'd rather just spend the $1500 for now. But anything in between is just as well. I'm just really getting into PCs, so I don't know what mid range components to use to get the job done. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Usage:
Gaming, web, a little multimedia

Special Needs:ultra settings @ 1080p for a couple years

Saved Ticket #: 925860

That's a great setup. The Power supply is a little much for your build but it gives you headroom in case you want to run SLI in the future.

The GTX 780Ti is indeed the most powerful gaming card out at the moment and will definitely run most games to come on Ultra at 1080P.

Yeah down the road I definitely would like to add a second card down the road, 4k will be the norm eventually, so I wanna plan ahead so when the prices on the displays come down I'll be good to go.

That's an excellent build with quality parts. And, room to grow if ever needed.   Congrats.

Looks like a very solid build to me. Though, if you are thinking of the second 780 Ti, that power supply would be on the low side. I would suggest bumping it to a 1000W range one.

Yea I'll probably go back to the 1050, was trying to save a few bucks but I prefer the longevity

Agree on PSU - go with either the 1000W SilverStone or 1050W Corsair for dual 780ti's.

Great looking build otherwise!!

so this is what i finally ordered. stage 1. came in about $40 under my max budget. pretty darn happy with it. especially just finding out my wife's 4 year old dell insirion laptop can actually play a fair amount of decent games on steam. enough to hold me over during the wait.

It looks almost identical to my config that I plan on purchasing within the week!  I am going with the regular 780 Ti over the superclocked for SLI compatibility in the future.

I am pondering between blue LED lighting or green.  I know the case is green but it's not that pronounced. Which would look better?  The green or the blue LED lighting?

DS says, "With its military paint job, steel structure, and detonator inspired switches; no PC looks more battle-ready than the Marauder."

Military themed machine... green LED all the way.  Strong

They're right, green all the way. The military theme is why I went with it. Also I'm just getting back into PCs, but from why I've read, the superclocked ti is SLI compatible. And you can definitely fit a second in the marauder case. I think anything more at this point in time might be a waste, for gaming anyways. Hopefully that's the case because I've already got my DS system. Regardless though, it's a beast of a system. Just played crysis 3 last night with everything maxed out. Awesome.
