Here is an early article from GTC 2015 concerning the new GTX Titan X. It includes all the specs for the card as well.

Looks like a beast of a card.

I work from home and can't answer that question. Nav or Alex will have to chime in about when it will be available.

with a beast of a price tag!  i think i'm gonna hold out for the R9 390X myself.  it should come in about $300 cheaper and more performance.  if you want to stick with team green then i think the real card to get will be the GTX 980ti they release to compete with AMD's in June/July.  i actually think Nvidia kinda copped out on this card tbh.  add in the fact that they are reportedly selling it directly (how did DS get them in stock?) and not allowing vendors/partners to get a hold of them for the foreseeable future means you're stuck with their reference boards and cooler (which they haven't changed since the first titan).

Looks like a good deal, close enough in speed 980 SLI, or close enough. Some people would certainly appreciate avoiding SLI.

Looking at a Far Cry 4 benchmark where 980 SLI stays above 60 fps, and the Titan X does not. Which means some people will prefer to spend the additional money for 980 SLI

I am really impressed by 980 SLI, as it runs so much cooler than my 780 SLI box. But SLI can have issues a single card will not

EVGA is already planning on a superclocked version of the GTX Titan X. Here is the link to EVGAs GTX Titan X page.

actually, it's not really close at all, it's a good 20 fps lower, and that's the whole problem with this niche product.  it's not quite enough as a single card solution at 4k and it's overkill (and overpriced) for anything less.  i think that's a fair and honest perspective on this product.  people's only real hope for a single card solution to a good experience at 4k resolution will be to wait and see what the AMD R9 390X can do.  most likely it too will fall a little short.

Here is a link to AnandTech where you can compare different graphics cards to each other in many different games at different monitor resolutions including 4K. I put in a Single GTX Titan X vs 2 GTX 980s in SLI.
