I was planning to get a GTX570 1.2GB to run a new 1920x1200 monitor. Now I'm thinking about getting that Dell U3011 (2560x1600). What's recommended for that? GTX570 2.5GB SLI?

Just for my edification, generally speaking, if my graphics need went up (increased resolution/higher AA/add monitor), what kind of upgrade in graphics power should I be thinking about in each case (getting more VRAM/going SLI/getting higher card)?

For that res and highest settings and high AA, best bet is to start with dual sli 570 2.5GB, 580 3GB, cf 6970 2GB, but you should have a system that can support tri sli, to do that you need to wait for the x79 platform (eta oct/nov).

higher res need more gpu power, higher aa at higher res will need more vram, right now at 1900 x 1200 range above 1GB is good enough, but I'm not sure how it will do with newer games, I'm waiting to see what bf3 needs are really gonna be to max it out at 1900 x 1200 res, once you go higher now you need more vram to run high aa, 2GB seem to cover all this year.
