Hey DS I heard you guys mentioned on the G4 channel's "Attack of the show" they were reviewing gaming rigs for $1800 . I never heard the actual review though. So anyways did anyone hear it?

They actually panned ava direct for thier best gaming setup for $1800. They didnt put the money were it mattered for gaming. G4 was being nice with that rating. They did Alienware on monday what did they say?

This is what I don't like, G4 saying AW's only problem is that its over priced, is pure BS, if these guys kept it real, then AW and Dell and them would all be under companies like DS.

Yes FNW is overpriced but I really like them. But the thing is they do their cases through Smooth Creations, I really liked their XTREME machines (Smooth Creations), they look nice dont know how they would perform though. I like VoodooPC as well now they are HP but still, they are really nice people there as well.

VoodooPC treated me really nice though, I cant complain about them at all. Other than that I agree that DS has awesome customer service something that is extremely rare these days.

I knew they would not do DS the proper credit it deserves, obviously they don't even know their PCs, cause even we know that AW is not comparable, they should do their homework before they do their supposed ratings, morons. |

Also the numbers they are talking about in that link, the DS numbers G4 tested themselves, but the 3Dmark number for AW, G4 did not test themselves, they got that from AW
not stylish my ass, they didn't even turn it on, show how it looks with the led fan and lights, also since when is square more stylish then curves? Just watched it on G4, and I have to say, this was an unfair rating of DS's system, AW is not comparable, AW's test numbers are from AW and not G4's own, atleast they did say that DS was the fastest system they have seen. |

I agree.. The case is fugly... However it should of got atleast an A.
The warranty alone is a good deal.. If ds would of sent them a tj-09 I bet it would of been an A if not A+...But that would jack up the price abit more....
Overall... I thought there review was fair and in turn should generate alot more business for ds...It served its purpose imo.

Again that is your opinion, many of us beg the differ, but also as you say, to each his own.
I give DS 10/10 cause I think its stylish.
you and G$ should give DS 9.5/10 or 9/10 cause you think HAF is not stylish. 
but I got big news, your games, OS, apps, etc, could careless whether your case is stylish or not, its the performance that counts, and to give the fastest and most reliable system they had an 8/10 is pure BS, not to mention that they are comparing their test results from AW's own results. Last I like to say that cures are always more stylish then squares. if you don't believe just ask all the car manufacturers, when was the last time you saw a square care being mass made? you know why?

G4 is probably receiving kick backs from dell/alienware
 ... Wouldn't be the first time someone paid money to make something seem better then it truely is.
I will say that the HAF case looks way better then the Antec 900... If looking better wasn't enough,the HAF's cooling and space is far superior then the antec/alienware case...
So... ya your right that the review is pretty much bs... But atleast DS got its name out and will most likely generate some sales from the review.
Either way its a win win for Ds.. Plus, DS is use to sites giving them mediocre reviews.. When clearly there machines have come out on top in a number of ways.

The only thing that I did not like about the review was basically that at the end I think Kevin says "Why not throw some LEDs in there?" to make it more stylish. Here is the thing, if you turned in on maybe there would be some LEDs and lighting and you could get your "sexiness"

Idk they reveiw helped convince my wife and I put my order in today for the comp

your haf looks good dst but the ones with only the red front LED look weirdooooooo
i take it you got some extra case lighting shame the "haf" logo isnt a clear window as well so they red LED would shine thru the logo either way its unfair they took so much off for "not liking the case" the review was not even supposed to be about the case but about the PC quality and performance for a set price why put urs on the desk, id be constantly staring at all the pretty lights Edited by <8) slunK parade - 31 Jan 2009 at 7:02pm |
