4 days? Thats crazy, lol. If your system passes that you can bet it can get through anything with it.

Congratulations H man. Well almost. You need to get that system home but I think it's worth it over four days to make sure it's stable. Now if we can the shipping box and put, "Danger!!!! Treat with Care-Explosive material inside!!!. UPS or another shipping company won't be throwing that box around.

H man, don't want to hijack your thread and good news. But it was picked up and they can keep it as long as they want to make sure it's stable.

oh wow so "spa man" should be looking at the same kind of results then, you both got the Q9550 and liquid cooling but you got the 850si and he got the 950si, so let the battle begin, the 950si should be able to produce the same results if not better in theory right? well ya the 950si is more for water cooling.
your stage 3 cooling should not make a difference if the water cooling is keeping the temp down, but I guess if spa man can't get the same results as yours then we know what the difference was. the OCed ram makes no difference in the stability of the cpu as far as I know. |

I don't think the ram will help the OC in anyway. |

Or in my case stage 3 does nothing at all...lol....I have those fans going still...but just for the pretty lights...but ive already shown that in my case, the top fans blowing in or out...or even running or not..had no effect on the temps of anything in my case lol...

In that case, it more and more likely that spa man should have atleast a 3.8 stable speed. Man I can't wait for the results.

Thanks.
Yes, I ordered mine yesterday. Officially, there is no shipping date yet, still in stage 2. The "estiamated" shipping date is 8/21, I think. I live in MD, so when it does ship, I will have to keep my anxiety level up for several days. MD is a long way from CA for ground shipping. |

Mason,
I'm currently flying in an FA-18, realism settings have been turned down to easy, and I've enabled unlimited fuel. Flew out of San Francisco the other day, I set it on autopilot heading northeast with full afterburners on, overspeeding at 1013 [mph]. Its interesting once I hit the north pole, autopilot lost its heading, the plane kind of just wandered around there. I couldn't completely cicrle the globe. I stopped that flight and started over. I also tried taking the plane into [out-to?] outerspace. It couldn't make it. 45,000 feet and it started to stall. Its cool to see the darkness of space above and the earths glowing blue hemisphere below though. So, so far so good. Just a couple more days of testing and you'll have your baby back. You guys do realize that FSX and its derivatives are the most boring games ever!?
You guys should expand your horizon and try "real" games such as:
FPS (Quake, Half Life, etc.), TPS (Max Payne), Adventure (Penumbra), RPG (Oblivion, KOTOR, NWN2, etc.), RTS (Warhammer, Age of Empires, Starcraft, etc), Action Racing (Need for Speed: Most Wanted).

David, FSX was never considered a REAL game. Let me check... nope, no one here called it one.
It's a hobby. It's a passion. The "real" games you listed are ok, but at the end of the day, I'd rather take to the virtual skies and fly around the world, then sit in a room with 678678 guys, shootin yer big guns off at each other.

Exactly H-man, my point exactly. Hell if it was just a game, the terrorists wouldn't have been able to fly 3 (or however many there were) 747's back on 9/11. That's how they learned to fly!

Yeah man I want to see "Senior Member" next to my name :)
I agree that DS is a fantastic company. When I ordered my comp I had "special circumtances" (read deployed....you think shipping to the East Coast is hair-raising try inter-continental!). I didn't want my comp to be over here, but I also couldn't resist the deals they had (Ticket 173232). So I emailed them and got a response from Jason. Now I have heard about two Jasons there so far. The Customer Service lead that answered posts on resellerratings.com and the Jason that is the CEO. Anyways, Jason was the one that answered my emails, got it set up so that I could put a downpayment on one of the rigs so they could hold it for me until I got home in a few months. Now, when I went to Vigor Gaming to check out thier stuff the CS there told me to wait on the comp and to get back with them once I got home. That isn't a unreasonable thing to say by any means, but the fact that DS, Jason in particular, bent over backwards to get my buisness speaks volumes about the company to me. I have been telling people who are in the market for a comp about that, and a few have promised to at least look here first while shopping. My boss is pretty much seton getting one from here, just bc DS has a 4yr warranty lol. Hmm, I rambled there lol. Take it easy all. Matt |

Nice to hear the holy water is doing its job, but will it be enough to conquer your demons at your workstation?
Hope things finally work out for you.

That rig will kill anything you throw at it, although based on what I am hearing the next new game it gets will be FSXI :) Whenever that comes along

FSX fully utilizes quad cores and is bottle-necked at the CPU so your SLI'd 280GTXs won't save you.
Go ahead, give it a try.
