Topic: Finally a New Gaming Rig. YAY! Posted: 26 Mar 2009 at 6:09pm |
So, I have been gaming on this computer that I built back in '03. It has served me well. But it is time for a new rig, and I do not want the headache of building it myself. Not to mention that I would get a warranty from DS. I have been buzzing around the DS forums and site trying to figure out what I want. I think I have come up with it. But, I may have missed something. So here goes: - Monitor is an LG Flatron W2252TQ - Gaming at 1680 x 1050 - Need a good set of speakers (Are these ones good or should I just get them from newegg? - RAM – Should I get the 6GB now or just get the extra 3GB later in a month or so? - If you know of a way to lower the price but not sacrifice to much let me know. Thanks for any help. Total Price with Instant Savings: $2,624.00 Ticket Number: 263782 Copy of Specifications: |

Looks like you nailed it with your configuration. I think it looks good and after looking it over, I do not see where you can cut costs without making any sacrifices.
If you have anymore questions though, or are ready to order, feel free to give me a call at my personal extension of 115. |

Very nice choice!
Just wanted to let you know that the front 230mm fan on the HAF 932 is red LED and you have blue case lighting in that config.
No big deal of course, I've seen many people like it that way...

My mom ask me a question I had no idea how to answer.
Would increasing my Rams mhz from 1333 to 1600 increase the chances of a better over clock?
I said i have no idea but i would ask. If not then she said she would add some money for the 6gb instead of 3gb.

No, actually you would not notice the difference.
in the old days of 667 and 800MHz and FSB that mattered, but not now in days the system I have setup for you has 6GB of ram already Edited by DST4ME - 27 Mar 2009 at 12:21am |

I'm thinking of maybe doing that myself. I noticed (at least in the photos) that the front red LED isn't really bright. I was kinda hoping for the red & blue to blend in, to make a cool violet color light, or can the front be replaced with a blue LED, & the back with red or green for a cool effect? I posted a link for the blue 230mm so you can use that for the front. only the top, front and side fans are that big, I believe the back one is a 140mm
