So tomorrow, I will be ordering my DS rig with the Cooler Master Storm Stryker case.

I am going to choose the Upgrade All Fans to Corsair Airflow Performance Edition (Up to 6 Fans)

Does this mean that the inside fans are upgraded and I do not receive the stock fans the case came with?

I know the Storm Striker has two fans on the side but also has availability for two fans on the front.

I would like those two side fans installed as well as two front fans.

Is that possible?

Also wondering if the radiator for my Corsair H100i should be mounted on the top of the case or the bottom.

I appreciate the assistance!

I don't believe you can add two fans to the front when the fans on the side are rotatable. You can request DS to rotate the side fans to where they are facing the front. Thats what i had them do on my storm trooper.

Also, the H100 sealed cooler will be mounted to the top, in place of the 200mm fan.   The hoses on the H100 aren't long enough to mount the rad  to the bottom.  The bottom mount radiator would be for a water cooled setup, like HydroLux,  where the hoses are custom length and routing.

I think the front/side 2x 120mm fans, depending how you rotate them , are replaced with that fan option.   Not sure if the H100 fans are replaced.

I agree with Arkansas and have the fans mounted to the front like she did.   Good front to back airflow.

Again, thank you for the awesome and quick replies!

I'm wondering if it's just better to keep the Hailstorm II case...

That thing has more fans than Bon Jovi.

Any way to tell how many fans it actually comes with?

The Hailstorm 2 is the Corsair 900D case, in case you want to check it out.   It comes with 3x 120mm fans front and a rear 140mm fan.     All those other fan locations are for multi-radiator setups, each with their own fans.    The Hailstorm 2 is made for water cooler setups but would work for air cooled like you have in mind.   A rig with air cooled video cards and H100 for cpu is an air cooled system.

Your choice.  Big%20Smile

Ahh gotcha.  I'm shy to do true water cooling. But regardless I think the 900D may be overkill for what I'm doing so I guess I will stick with the Storm Stryker!

Thank you so much.  Very excited to order.

Oh man!  I read it was ginormous but I have no perspective on it.

I have reservations about putting my case on the floor (Carpeted, two cats.. lots of hair and dust) so I am thinking of building a wooden platform for it since placing it on my desk no longer seems like an option.

The Storm Stryker is large as well, apparently.

9.8" x 23.8" x 22.8" is the stryker dimensions which is the same dimensions as the trooper but they are basically the same other the color change and name

Yeah, keep it off the floor if you can.  Dust and pet hair like to swirl around there.  I have my ODE 600T case on a file cabinet next to the pc table.  Very little dust gets inside.

holy crap... lol...

Near as makes no difference, 2 feet by 2 feet by 10 inches. Add a few inches to the back for cords and room to breathe and you got yourself a monster.

Check it for satellites!

Cooling is listed as:
Front: 120mm LED fan x 2, 1200 RPM, 17 dBA
Top: 200mm fan x 1, 1000 RPM, 23 dBA (converted to 120/140mm fan x 2)
Rear: 140mm fan x 1, 1200 RPM, 19 dBA (converted to 120mm fan x 1)
Bottom: 120mm fan x 2 (optional)

Depending on how you are placing the case (on carpet, desktop, hard floor), you may or may not want fans installed on the bottom. You would probably be better off with the top fan staying with the 200mm fan. So that leaves 2 front fans, rear fan and possibly the bottom fans. Other than the bottom fans, the fan ports are already filled in. Unless you have some reason to prefer the Corsair fans to the CM fans, I would leave them be.

Fans are easy enough to install yourself, just one connector on the motherboard and four screws to put it in place. So, if you decide you don't like the sound characteristics of the Cooler Master fans, you can always swap them on your own. Just make sure they are blowing the way you intend them too. I believe usually the label side is intake.
