Hey all, my DS rig finally made it. The whole process from research with DS and Forum members to Purchase and receiving my DS computer was Fun, Enthusiastic, Informative, and most of all 100% professional quality. I will spare you unpacking because it was the normal shipping with DS amazing foam packaging. The only thing that caught me off guard was the Packing inside the case. It was normal bubble rap. Never seen that before. But the rig shipped from california to Denton TX with no problems. the only thing that came loose was the SLI bridge. Starts right up no problems. Have already put it through Heaven. So here are some pics.

i5
sabertooth z77 mobo
neutron ssd
2x 680 classified Gpu's
noctua
8 gb of ram ds certified

let me just say i was skeptical of the Noctua. And i was dead wrong. It is amazing. most certainly beats out the closed loop i had on my Alienware.

Ds has another life time member. Thankyou again Alex and the others on the forums for schooling me in computer wizardry.

Looks good, i remember someone saying that they use the foam in the high end builds that have water cooling and stuff like that. The Bubble wrap does work good as well since mine was basic

Glad to hear you love the system!

The internal packaging used, whether it's the insta-pak expanding foam, ridit foam, or bubble wrap, all depends on your configuration and what the team feels would protect the system during shipping.

Looks great, AND perfect cable management. It's great to see DS step up when someone pointed that out before. Responsiveness in a company is worth paying slightly more!

I hope that I'll be able to post my Dreadnought L2 review soon! (Hint hint)

I built a computer once, my cable management was just cramming all the wires in and duct taping the case back together lol. Don't feel bad :P

Thankyou all for your comments.

after a full day of setting up and gaming. all i need to do is go buy a 3rd sata cable. I cant seem to find it in my DS box of goodies.

But i have to say, i ran the first mission of Crysis 3 last night with everything maxed, at 1920x1200 on a U2711 dell ultrasharp. Lowest drop was to 55 fps. These 4gb nvidia classified 680s are BEASTLY!. and they only got to 58c under full load. OMG! TYTY again DS for such a great computer.

also is there any way i can find out what manufacture of RAM i have? just curious lol that noctua is soo massive i cant get a good angle on it to see. Also for anyone who is wondering if the Heatsinks for ram is worth not getting a noctua, GET THE NOCTUA! your ram will be more than fine without their heatsinks.

lol nvm about the ram. i found it with the AI suite. the manufacture is ADATA. never heard of em. but they work great.

ADATA makes quality ram, no worries there. They don't have the name recognition that some of the other companies do obviously, but I've used lots of ADATA in the past and would recommend it for sure.
