Huh. Is that a Noctua NH-D14 with no fans? I remember you mentioning you were testing doing that before, guess you were going for quietness?

looks that way, i could see just the cases airflow going through that heatsink and keeping it at 3.2
id actually prefer the u12p heatsink without fans becuase i think it would be easier to push air through with minimal turbulance
 
i love the con "foam hard to remove"
everyone complains that the stuff gets shaken loose, now they complain that its too secure
 
the rest is really long.. ill have to read that later lol

This is actually a passively cooled system running at 3.8GHz. That's how efficient the cooling style is on this chassis.

lol.

and still, it's technically not really a passively cooled system. you still have a 180mm fan on bottom airing out the CPU, and a 120mm fan exhausting, ehehe. true passive cooling is no fans at all, completely removed, all coolers replaced with fanless coolers. that goes for GPU(s) and CPU.

True, basically there is no fan on the CPU heat sink. May that be a passively cooled CPU or not, it's still cool and effective
