Hello DS groupies! I have been filtering through reviews on several cloning softwares and can't make up my mind on what to get. So, of course I come to the best source of information related to the PC world. If you were to purchase and use any particular cloning software to tranfer data from an SSD to another SSD, what would you use and why?

I'm considering the following choices; Corsair Hard Drive Cloning Kit, Acronis True Image, Norton Ghost, EaseUS.

I'm looking for the software to be user friendly, reliable with good customer support if a problem arises. Any suggestions and or other options you know of would be most helpful. Thanks in advance. Big%20Smile

Hi Michael,

I have always understood that Macrium was worth it's salt. you may want to look there.

Plus they offer a free version and a trial version from what I understand.

Hey Snaike, thanks for the reply! I did see some reviews on that software as well although not all were good. A mixed bag I guess. I was a bit intrigued by the Corsair Cloning Kit I found on Amazon. It had basically good reviews. I'm in the debating mode right now. I just want the best reviewed since I do not want a brick for an SSD. I have read that some of these softwares will run into errors on Windows 7. Anyway, thanks for the info!

Although it's been a while, in the past I have used Acronis quite a bit without any issues. Can't relate to newer versions if they are still on par as their older counterparts.

I have used and can rcommend  "CMS Bounce Back ultimate " This software can do both a full system back up or data only, the latter being my preference. My reasoning for just data and not a complete mirror image of the hard drive, is when it comes to the point reinstalling Windows I've found nothing better than install right from Windows installation disk. Then adding my data info. One disadvantage to the program, you need a a dedicate hard drive just for just for back up use only, can not be used for any thing else!
