I know when building computers, they are using a single copy to install and when you register the machine with MS, it normally asks for the serial number (not sure if DS does this for you). I'm pretty sure DS is installing a valid version for you and something didn't go right with the activation with MS. Here's a link to MS's page on how to validate/repair your system.
You should also contact DS if you're unable to resolve this easily ([email protected] or [email protected]). Hope this helps! |

Just to add, DS does activate the software but sounds like a glitch. Your MS product key, needed for activation, is on a sticker on the outside of the rig. Mine is on right side panel. Just follow the activation steps.
Any issues, give DS a call. |

Correct. That warning is simply because you need to re-activate your operating system or else Microsoft will not consider it "genuine."
Sometimes Windows will un-activate itself out of a glitch by some software/utility making wrong changes to the Windows registry. Feel free to call us for help, but what you might need to do is just re-activate it. You may need to call the toll-free number the activation wizard provides you to verbally let them know that you own the computer and that it's only installed on your system. |
