Quite
possibly one of the most anticipated games of 2009, BioShock 2 has
finally been given a set date from publishers 2K Games. Set for a
simultaneous release on the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC
on October 30th 2009 internationally, while North America will have to
wait another few days for their release on the 3rd November.

After viewing the game play trailers, I'm finding hard to get excited about this game. The idea of having to franticly defend Little Sisters from hoards of attacking Splicers does not appeal to me. The similar themed Museum sequence in the original game was my least favorite part of that game. I'm afraid the sequel to Bioshock will turn out to be as big a disappointment as the sequel to Deus Ex was.
I'm sure I'l buy the game anyway, but I may just blow through it on "easy" to see what it looks like. Besides I haven't bought a game since Far Cry 2.

I'm having mixed feelings about it too. I really have high anticipation for the sequel, but the first was so fantastic that I feel almost any effort will be a letdown.
Eh, well, actually, better graphics, good story, some different weapons and plasmids . . . I'll be happy.
Speaking of awesome:

I agree. Far Cry 2 is terrible. Looks great but game play is terrible. Looking forward to CODMW2 tho.
But I do agree that I'm gonna have to pass on Bioshock 2. I felt forced to finish the 1st one because it was a present from a fellow gamer, more than I ever cared to. I want the Big Daddys to win...

I really enjoyed Bioshock and I hope that B2 is just as good. I hope they don't ruin it by making it all escort the little sister stuff.

As i'm sure most have noticed, this got pushed back.. now Feb. 9. This game actually sounds sorta intriguing.. assuming there's some kind of story beyond protecting the little sisters.

Bioshock2 is okay, and better than I first expected. Much better than my highly anticipated CODMW2. Same great gameplay, but with less story this time around.

modern warfare 2 was a great game .. great but not amazing to modern warfare. the campaign was too short playing on regular and the story wasn't really in-depth.
the graphics were awesome though. i hope CoD 7 will be better in story/campaign and multiplayer.

Infinity ward isn't going to make cod anymore because they think the story isn't going anywhere and Treyarch is brutal

Call of Duty 7 (working title) was leaked as being in production when David Kim, a senior animator at Treyarch, stated on a website "I am currently on my second title as a senior animator in the games industry with Activision / Treyarch on Call of Duty 7." Activision confirmed in November 2009 that a new, yet-to-be-named Call of Duty game will be released sometime in 2010.

Bioshock2 was a pleasant surprise for me. Not a total surprise I'd admit, since I loved the first game, I was just unsure I wanted to be sheparding Little Sisters like that small sequence in the first game. It's different enough from that, though, and while it's certainly a "cash-in" sequel for 2K, I have no objection to more of a game I couldn't get enough of in the first place.
My biggest complaint right now is finding teammates for the multiplayer, given I've -zero- friends on GFWL (not an Xbox owner) and none of my Steam friends seem to want to play it. Which is a pity as the MP is fun as hell.

Great game but I cannot get this game to UPDATE to save my butt. GFWL sucks. Can't even install it manually. Bioshock 1 was the same way for me. To me 2KGames really seems to me have issues with game installation and updates. I will not buy any more of their games. Not worth the hassle. Running Win 7 64 bit.
