Any suggestions on what will be the best bang for the buck? I plan upgrading to a dual SLI system in the next few months or as soon as finances let me. Please review and let me know. I ordered the top config on Friday and if it behooves me to opt for the second config for the increased cash then I need to let DS know by Monday morning so they do not start the first build. Any help would be appreciated.

I forgot the prices. The first config is running $2612 and the second config cost $3238. If I upgraded further then I could do the QX6800 for $3408. What's the best for price v. performance and future apps? |

I think that if it's within your budget, that you should go ahead and go quad. I mean, I know games don't even utilize the dual cores yet, they will and they will soon. So, my suggestion would be yes, go quad.

Just like Kelly said, go for the Quad-Core. Your making such a big investment and you might as well go for it because a lot of new software/games are going to begin using all of its power. Example, A.I., special physics, etc. Edited by Alex - 05 Aug 2007 at 4:22pm |
