Budget:
Less than $1,000 Expectations: Using Windows 8 effectively Usage: I have a Nice DS rig, dual 680s in SLI with dual Dell U2711 monitors. I mostly use if for business, creating presentations, communications and spreadsheets, a bit of gaming, Battlefield 3. I was thinking of upgrading to Windows 8 and was wondering if it would support a 3rd monitor, but a touch screen... I would keep my outlook on the 3rd screen, but the touch screen seems cool for outlook. Would this work with the dual "non touch" monitors? What are your thoughts? Hello stephantmi. There aren't many desktop touch monitors for Win 8 out there yet. Mostly smaller screen models out there that are "multi-touch" panels so far, and they will be 1920 x 1080 ...won't match your 27" panel resolution but would work.
Dell has the S2340T ...... ......23" display Acer has the T232HLbmidz....23" display Also saw oneworldtouch carries some pricey NEC displays. Hope this helps... It's new consumer level tech so they will all be bringing out models that do touch with Win 8 soon. |
