Windows 7

   Just a quick question.  For only a few $ you can get Windows-7 Pro vs Home.  Any reason to do this?  I looked around and found some differences, but nothing that ment anything to me.  The few extra $ is not a problem, just wonder if I should change from what I am used to.

	Hi Jim, I think the Pro version is worth it even if you don't use any of the features today. You might in the future. The Pro has a XP mode that will run some XP programs that Win-7 has a problem with. The Home version also has a 16Gb memory limit. So if you ever plan on using more memory you need the Pro. The other differences are related to home business applications. Frank

	The one thing I know about the Pro version, is that if you have any legacy apps, you can run a virtual XP session with them. Not sure if it works for legacy hardware (old printers, scanners, etc.) I'm sure others will include some other differences. oops... frank beat me by seconds! 	I am waiting for my new DS build, but chose the Pro version in order to use some old XP programs that I know will not run on Windows 7 at 64. Could someone tell me how to do things to use older 32 bit XP programs? Do I need to set up a partition, or?

	I have windows 7 home addition - it states that media player should recognize "WAV " files but mine doesn't everything looks in place any comments I looked on line and did not see wav files listed WTH ? thanks for your valuable time Edited by starshipwarrior - 02 Jun 2012 at 11:35pm

	Your windows media player doesn't support wav files? ... maybe something is wrong with your associations.. I have no idea. It definitely -should-.
