Ever since I received my Digital Storm system back in march I have had no time to play my consoles.  Besides, there hasn't been any decent console games released lately other than Grand Theft Auto.  The arrival of my DS system came at a great time,  right in time for the console Lull.  I am having no problems finding great games for my pc.  Thanks Digital Storm for building me a awesome machine and keeping the gaming dream ALIVE!!!!!!!!!

Heck ya! plus PC games are just about $20 cheaper than most console games...IM GRAB CRYSIS FOR 40 BUCKS! ALRIGHT! then ima hit hellgate london, unreal tourny 3, then prolly back to console for a bit for fallout3, too human, and some others

Shaba_levi, sounds like a killer line-up.  I am still on the fence whether I will play fallout3 on console or pc.  Maybe more or less on the pc since I have such a kick-ass Digital Storm system and the game will likely be 20 bucks cheaper. Until the release of fallout3----- (game on brother, game on!!!!!!!!!)

Same actually..it depends on if they throw in any extras for consoles or vice versa... Bethesda has been known for games with high cache rate which can corrupt some saved files on consoles (my oblivion character....*tear*) lol, so ya ill have to wait and see...looks like a kik ass game though

I used to love Halo 3 on the Xbox 360, until I let some people borrow my 360 to watch movies on, as they broke it... :(

The two consoles I owned where a Sega CD, and a Sega Dreamcast, both were taken off the market less then a year after i bought them, at that point i just said F**k it, I will never buy another console again, and i havent since...

Maybe Im just way to hardcore but I own everything.  I have my DSO rig, my PS3, my 360 and my Wii.  Theres games for all the systems that i like and each has their own exclusives that i would hate to miss out on....Gears of War, Halo... Metal Gear Solid, Final Fantasy....Zelda, Mario, Metroid.....and a whole slew of computer games, mostly MMOs and RTS.  I love em all, and you really cant go with the price issue asd console games can be traded in while no one takes PC games back.

I own a xbox 360 but the only real reason is for the EA Sports NHL games.  They updated them to next-gen with a bunch of new features that you only get on the 360 and ps3.  For some reason they don't have these features on the PC, which shares the same game mechanics as the ps2 version, which is stupid imo.
 
Although I love it in 1080p on my giant tv anyways.

The wife has to use the computer once in a while, good time for some PS3 Action.
 
Sports games still reign supreme on the console.  I prefer GTA on console as well... I like the simplicity and consistency that a console can offer at times too.
 
I don't have friends over and play with more than one controller so I really can't enjoy that benefit, but that is pretty fun as well, since a lot of people don't consider PC games as universal way to play with friends.. Lans or even PC controllers are just a tad less popular Wink

You must not be into sports games then :)  I wouldn't blame you then... with exception of Metal Gear and GTA, etc...

sports game and some FPS are really good on consoles. especially Madden and COD4.

I play consoles for fighting games.  I like everything from 3d fighters like the Tekken series or the Soul Calibur series to the 2d genre like King of Fighters and Guilty Gear.

The next big one I must get is of course Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe.

well i never thought id say this. but i'v picked up my 360 controller maybe 10 times since iv gotten my DS computer. and to think i played my 360 EVERYDAY before i got my rig.

so i stand corrected. WHO HAS TIME FOR CONSOLE GAMING?? i don't.

I play an equal amount of console games and PC games.

I love console games because many are quality exclusives to consoles and most of my friends don't have fast computers so we wind up playing some CoD4 or Gears 2.

It's a different experience from PC gaming that's for sure, but it would be tough to be without one.

As my current laptop is dying and I wait for my DS rig to arrive... I find myself playing SoulCalibur IV alot online with a friend from back home, and some GTAIV here and there. That'll all probably stop once I can get back on WoW... and then SC2... and then Diablo III... Hmmm I love Blizzard Ouch

But I'll still use my PS3 and 360 for future games - FFXIII, Stree FighterIV, Gran Turismo 5, Skate 2, among others.

I think the ones coming out next are Skate 2, and then Street Fighter IV.  I'm pretty excited! I can't wait to get beat by all the lame XboxLIVE! Players that'll use Ken/Ryu/Akuma and just Hadouken/ Shinryuken spam me (Edit: and then subsequently curse me out).  It oughta be exciting. Unhappy

Part of me is saying keep my ps3(it's BC) and connect both PC and PS3 to the same monitor. The other part of me says sell the ps3 and be through with consoles.

My grandkid still loves his xbox360 and doesn't seem to want to play the same games on my new beast.  It may be because I haven't picked up a xbox type controller for this one yet.

Dude, I feel the same way. I'm ADEECTED to my new rig, and besides, no good console games that are rated RIGHT (why the heck is HALO rated M??? I've seen more blood in Ghost Recon). In the coming months, though, Lost Planet 2 and Borderlands are coming out, might be enough to kick me off the comp.

I've played the Lost Planet 2 demo on both my PS3 & Xbox 360 - and it is a ton of fun!  I like the fact that you can play it in online co-op with 3 other people.  Also the variety of mech units that you can pilot was really cool too. 
 
I've been playing Borderlands on my PS3 and enjoying it very much.  It's also available on PC & Xbox 360.  The variety of guns, grenade mods, and shield mods is truly amazing.  This game has a very good sense of humor too.

got my ds rig on friday, set it up the next day, and i'm really enjoying it, playing fallout 3 flawlessly Ouch !! right now i'm downloading far cry, with splinter cell chaos theory and crysis behind in que. lol, my old pc couldn't play splinter and far cry without lagging .. hence why i'm downloading games purchased years ago (i'm also probably going to re-install cod2, haha). let's just finish the games or at least play them, then i'm moving on to the 'power' games .. in the meantime, my ps3 won't be used as much.

One of the developers is speaking while he plays the game.  Very cool stuff indeed, IMO.
 
It looks like it might be the next big shooter on the consoles but we'll have to wait for Fall 2010 to find out for sure.
