I didn't really see an appropriate section in the forum to post this question so I hope this is OK.

I have an older, but still very useable gaming PC that I purchased from Digital Storm and I would like to sell as a complete unit, but I don't really know what it's worth. I was hoping everybody could give me their opinions of what you think would be a fair asking price. I live in Canada so I will assume that all prices given will be in US dollars unless otherwise specified.

Case - Cooler Master HAF 932 (full tower)
Processor - i7 950 @ 3.75GHz
Air Cooler - Cooler Master V6 GT (dual 120mm fans)
Motherboard - EVGA X58 SLI 3 Edition
Memory - 12GB DDR3 1600MHz Corsair Dominator
Power Supply - Corsair AX1200
Hard Drive 1 - 80GB Intel SSD (for OS/Boot)
Hard Drive 2 - 1TB Western Digital Black (for everything else)
Hard Drive 3 - 500GB Seagate (for backup)
Optical Drive 1 - Blu-ray player
Optical Drive 2 - DVD-R/RW/CD-R/RW
Video Cards - 2x EVGA GTX 580 1.5GB Black Ops Edition
Sound Card - Creative Labs X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Champion (with front I/O)
Lighting - Red chassis lighting system
Operating System - Windows 7 Home Premium x64

Thanks for any advice!

I'd say in general to someone who knows custom built gaming computers about 8-900.

The problem in selling it will be the competition from The big 5 assembly line manufacturers. you might do a bid or auction on it with a minimum accepted price and see how high it goes.

Thank you for the reply. I was thinking somewhere between $750 to $850 before I posted this question, so it's nice to have a second opinion.

I kinda feel like your outta luck, you have an old out of date video card, but since its SLI you don't wanna feel like your giving it away. But I cant see any knowledgable person wanting to pay that much for outdated tech. They could build a new computer that's much more powerful for around the same price and even get some pre builts at some of DS competitors that are decent.

Since making this post I have sold my PC locally for $750. It did have some "older" parts, but it was still a pretty decent machine for somebody.

Thanks for the post & info. Our systems are very much alike - although I shoved a Titan into it recently. Prolly not the best move in retrospec, as it's aging and I need a new system, not keeping trying to upgrade what I have.

I don't hold out hope that I can sell it, though. I might just keep it and make it a dedicated Folding@Home unit or something Awesome
