Still awaiting my level 4 (hopefully ships today).

Just wondering what brand they put in it , since it does not say specifically. I'd like to another 8 gb in the near future.

DS uses different brands, depending on availability.   It's all good.

The motherboard in the Vanquish only has 2 DIMM slots, so adding ram would mean replacing the 2x4gb sticks with 2x 8gb sticks. The ram sticks wouldn't have to be the same manufacturer anyways, just the voltage, speed, latency, etc. like 9,9,9,24 for example.

It has 4 DIMM slots now or at least that is what I thought I read when I ordered mine 2 nights ago.

Correct. Big%20Smile

The level 4 just changed this week.  The Z97-P mobo has the 4xDIMM slots.

Technically you can mix and match. Don't haven't to be identical sets. Though some sets don't like to play with other sets.  And if speeds and voltage are different, your motherboard will automatically down voltage and lower the speeds of all sticks to match your lowest and slowest stick.

Fun fact... maybe not that much fun.
