So I'm working on the Krypton today, and was fussing over the touchpad that I still struggle with (fat finger syndrome). I went to kick it off with FN+F1 and messed up. Hit Fn+1 instead.
Every fan on the machine kicked in and went full bore until I hit it again. I haven't seen that documented anywhere. I wonder what else it does that I don't know? |

Sounds like an easter egg. A quick check does mention that on some Sager laptops, 8150 specifically, the FN +1 hotkey is an undocumented shortcut to kick the fans into high. For some its on/off and others every press kicks a different fan on high and then off with final press.
Interesting. |

Yep, Sager's have done that for as long as I can remember.

Sounds like something the design team setup as a backdoor for service reps, bench setups.....
Good to know. Do you know if its Clevo, also? Just answered my own question.... Clevo, too. Edited by bprat22 - 21 Feb 2014 at 10:31am |
