Waiting on my Slade

Looking forward to hearing more about your order progression and of course the machine once it arrives! There's not enough customer experiences on the forum from people who ordered with the priority build service (in my opinion), so thanks for sharing and welcome to the DS family!

Stage 7 an hour ago, with a confirmed 4.5 GHz stage 2 overclock on a stable system.

Priority build was definitely worth it. If it ships today or tomorrow, I'll have my rig in just slightly over a week. Not bad for a custom build.

And...shipped!

Three business days from order to ship with priority build.

Assuming five days shipping from Cali to DC, should have it in either Monday or Tuesday. I'll have pics when it gets here!

It's here, and it's awesome.

I figured I'd get some photos up for you guys to see, and then I'd do a more in-depth review a few days from now once it's up to speed.

First, I have to say I'm extremely impressed with the entire DS team. This computer was ordered less than two weeks ago. I ordered in June 8th with priority build. All I can say is that priority build is completely worth it. It shipped in four days, as advertised, and the shipping from California to Virginia took seven total days. Total elapsed time from order to sitting here was 12 calendar days.

Pretty amazing, considering this was a custom built rig. Now, I admit, this rig isn't one of the massive ones with stage 6 cooling and quad SLI, so the build wasn't that complex. But it still looks and is performing amazingly well.

From my first two hours using it, all I have to say is wow. Not only is this thing lightning fast, it's extremely quiet. I can barely hear when it kicks into high gear for gaming. The AC unit behind my house is actually louder, and that's through the walls.

Gotta say I'm impressed. Since I have seen any Slade reviews on the site, I'll do a more long-winded one in a few days.

I was impressed with that as well. And there's a ton of room for upgrades...when I get around to getting another 680 to SLI, no problem fitting it in.
