Looking at the pictures for the Velox case it looks as though it has Corsair Airflow Performance Edition Chassis Fans. Is this the case or are they something different? If they are different how do they compare to the Corsair fans?

Those are actually (from the looks of the blades) AF120's (or maybe AF140's...) Either way, they are the AF edition fans.

From my personal experience, I only use AF and SP fans from Corsair and given that I have some 23 fans in my case... I stand by them.

What I've learned is you typically want to use the SP120's instead of the AF120's for any intake that has either a radiator or drive cages that way you get maximum air flow with your AF's for open intakes and all of your exhausts.
