Just fired up Skyrim on ultra settings for over 4 hours. The GPU barely hit 50°C. Have to say I'm extremely pleased with this.
The only thing that raised an eyebrow was the 'Mainboard temp" at 119°C. But since it's barely a degree or two above idle minimum I'm not going to worry about it. |

Whoa... hold on. Your motherboard was 119°C
That is a huge red flag. That's 100°C higher than my motherboard. Grant it, mine is under water... but even my living room PC which is an ASUS Rampage IV Extreme never breaks 32°C under load. Tell me that 119°C is a typo. Because if it's running that hot, your PC is about to melt down on you... literally. |

Most likely it was a false readout with whatever was being used like hwmonitor.

It was. Posted in April about running Speccy and HWMonitor side by side. HWMonitor is great for min/max settings but is unreliable on this machine for mobo temps (120°C - 246°F) and SSDrive temps (1°C - 33°F)... Whereas Speccy reads them both realtime at 28°C - 82°F as of this writing.
When temps start to become and issue, I am certain to be running both programs at the same time and recommend to everyone to not rely on one program's data. |

Didn't we already cover this in another thread? I could have swore we addressed the issue and found the root cause of it already. o.O

But, I have never found out why HWMonitor reads 2 settings so incorrectly when Speccy gets them right.
Just one of life's little mysteries, I guess.

I swear to you, I read this... made my comment about the mobo temp, and then a second thread was started because I pointed it out which lead to the testing of multiple programs.
Either that or someone else had a mobo reading of 119C and I said something to them too, and they started a second thread discussion about it. |
