Im having this problem with my viper laptop. I have win 7 and I recently formated the hard drive and did a clean install of windows 7. I'm pretty sure I have a everything back to normal except for 2 things. one being that in my device manager I have a Universal Serial Bus (USB) controller that when trying to update will not find a driver. under device status it gives code 28. anyone know how to fix this?

Have you installed any new devices?   Is everything working?

It could be nothing but since you do show a yellow exclamation mark meaning a conflict with another device, I would right click that device in Device Manager with exclamation mark, select to uninstall and then re-boot.   Windows will try to fix or find the driver.

It's not unusual for a Windows re-install to come up with driver issues.    You didn't mention any problems and if not then I would forget about it if uninstall and reboot doesn't fix it. If the laptop and your USB ports are working then I wouldn't worry about it. But it's your call and sometimes things like this just drive you crazy.
