Apologies if this is not posted in the correct section.
I bought a Bolt II in August of last year. I was wondering if the new NVidia Titan X card would fit in my Bolt II if I wanted to upgrade video card this spring. I have the 600W power supply so I think I'm good from a power standpoint. Not sure about the necessary power connectors or dimensions though. Thanks! |

Bolt II has either a 500W or 700W PSU, but either should work with the Titan X...if you recall, the Titan Black and 780 Ti also worked with either. The Titan X has a two slot width, so yes it will work with your chassis. Only the Titan Z that has a 2.5-slot width will not work.

Just to confirm, yes. There shouldn't be any issues.

I have the 500W bolt 2, so titan X will fit? And 500W is enough?

It might work, but not suggested. You can give it a try if you really want to, but if you see issues, you'll need to purchase a 700W PSU from us which will cost $175, our team can help get an order in for you with this.

Alex, is this still the 80+ gold-rated or bronze-rated PSU? FSP now has 80+ platinum-rated PSU's, of which the 700W unit has only one fan, instead of two in series.
And I'm highly doubting that even with a Titan X (with the peaky power draw of the new Maxwell chips it uses) in a Bolt II will the power peak above 450W, where I'd begin to get concerned about needing to upgrade from a 500W to a 700W PSU. --> http://hothardware.com/reviews/Digital-Storm-Bolt-II-Devils-Canyon-Inside?page=10 |

Hi, the BOLT II 700W is a bronze rated unit. Since we now have the BOLT 3, we won't be changing that.
