For those who don't know, GabeN is having his Halloween sale from today through the 3rd.

I was looking at Fallout3 .. just not sure how it's going to behave on the newer systems. It's not like the game is 6 years old or anything...

Anyone playing Fallout3?

I love Fallout 3. Played it for months, non stop.

I haven't played it in awhile but still have it installed.

Go for it.

I think Fallout 3 will do just fine on current systems, as you mention its not too dust and a cobweb-y at this point. Smile

I saw this today and snagged Fallout 3 and New Vegas!  Woo hoo! Awesome Was waiting for both of those to go on sale.

I was reading up on modding 3 on the Fallout subreddit and you do need to perform some tweaks to get it to run without crashing on multi-core processors, and there are some other tweaks as well that should keep it stable on modern systems as it's not optimized for Windows 7+.

And you can certainly keep it relevant and looking great with the usual graphics and other mods.

I have New Vegas modded almost as much as my Skyrim.  Yea, there are some hoops to jump through, but check in with Jingles on Youtube.  He's got the list down of what is exactly necessary to get through those hoops.

Btw, thanks for the kind words on FO3 ... I'm picking it up tomorrow.. although it's going to have to wait for awhile before playing.  Shadow of Mordor has my attention for the time being.

Never played it before. Feel free to gift it to me... I have under the new WoW expat drops to play games. As soon as that happens I'll be a ghost.

Any and every time Steam has one of their big sales, I close it and refuse to open it back up until the sale is over.

I'll end up buying 50 games, of which I may play 1... once.

Looks like I was wrong, I stand corrected. For some reason I thought I had played it without issue. Won't be the last time I'm wrong. Big%20Smile

Enjoy! Strong
