So,

Was wondering why DS doesn't supply the 1TB Samsung 850 PRO SSD, they only provide 512GB. Is the 1TB too big for the case or just isn't provided?

I'd like to have 2x 1TB Samsung 850 PRO ssd's.

Just isn't provided, is my guess.    Can't possibly stock every part out there.  Big%20Smile
You can special order it, but there would be an added fee.

How much would be the extra fee to have 1 TB Samsung 850 PRO, & how would I approach that? Would they send me a custom configuration number with that added, or would I use the comment build section, call them up?

1.) It's not to big for the case. It's the same 2.5" size as all the other SSD's.

2.) Are you trying to run only 2x 1TB in say a RAID?

3.) Are you trying to run said SSD(s) as your primary C drive?

If you answer no to #3, and I'm sure DS will dislike me for saying this, but it'll probably be slightly cheaper to just buy them off of Amazon/Newegg yourself and install them. SSD's are remarkably easy to install (it's literally plug and play) unless you're trying to raid them. Then we can help you here on the forums once you have the drives.

Now if you just want to be lazy and have DS handle it all for you. I'm about 99% sure that if you give them a call, you can special request 2x 1TB 850 PRO's, but be warned. If it's not listed on the site, most likely it's not in stock in the warehouse, so build and shipping times will be delayed even more.

From what I've seen I believe it's an extra $45 per special order.

Meller,

What do you mean trying to run them in raid, the setup I really want to go with is 2x 4TB WD - Black edition HDD's, & then 2 SSD's preferally 1TB.Then I want the raid option number 10.

1 for the OS, & applications. And the other 1 just for games.

Does it matter if the HDD is the C drive or an SSD?

And I live in Iceland, so calling to foreign lands will cost me a lot. Or maybe not because it's a company? I don't know, I'd like to special order 2x 1TB Samsung 850 PRO SSD's.

First wanted to go with 2x 512GB SSD's, but that would make me have 9TB in total, & I have OCD so that annoys me, that's why I want the 2x 2TB's so it's 10TB in total, double digits.

The OS usually tags the C drive as the boot drive.  Just makes Windows happy starting with the lowest letter.  SSD for the C drive gives you its advantage of much faster boots and loading of programs on the SSD .    Doesn't have to be, but the normal way.

You can put any requests on the bottom of your order.  They'll get back to you with updated pricing, etc.   Or, email them first.
