I am looking to get a sound card for the older Vanquish lvl II model. Specs are below.

1) Is it capable of adding one with this Mobo and set up?
2) What would be a good option for an upgrade in audio and mic quality without completely breaking the bank? Doesn't have to be the best sound card, but like I said an upgrade over the on-board audio.

Hi Razorback.....   That mobo will take a sound card.  Just make sure its a PciEx1 bus connector to match the smaller slots in the mobo.  An older , and longer PCI and PciE x2, x4 won't fit.

I can't say about the sound quality.   Been many years since I used a sound card.   In general, most find the built in sound very good.
