My thinking is that as we are at the front end of a console cycle a Vanquish II level 3 should play new games for a good long while. But what if a really great game that supports oculus shows up in the next couple years? Will I be scrambling for upgrades already?

Let's not speculate on beta technology as we have no true idea on hardware requirements.

Focus on what we know for sure on the now.

And if that's true something you're worried about.. Perhaps you need to look at heftier systems with better CPUs rather than the mid grade i5 prebuilt say know?

I wouldn't be too concerned yet with something like that. To many unknown variables.
