If you are using an average monitor I wouldn't personally go SLI since you can't see more than 60 frames on an average monitor so there isn't really any benefit running SLI on a monitor with a 60hz refresh rate. If you had a monitor with a higher refresh rate then yes there is a benefit, though with 2 graphics cards there will be more heat and noise. Plus there is also the need for more power with 2 cards.
