Hi Everyone,
I see that there is a glitch in the Samsung 840 EVO when it reads old data. They have a new fix out but I have not see it discussed on the forum. I did a few searches and didn't find any threads addressing the problem. The fix is not a big problem unless you are running a RAID setup. The fix works on RAID but it takes more effort. I may be behind on this so excuse me if this is old news and all ready covered. You can read about it here. Frank Edited by FrankW - 07 Nov 2014 at 4:40pm |

Hi bprat22,
Nice to see you are still helping people to build great systems. I stop by every once in a while to see what is new. Do you still have your ODE system or have you upgraded? Frank |

Same ODE. Well, almost. My 560 died last year and DS was kind enough to send a 570 my way, part of the 3 years parts warranty. Had to mount my side mesh with dual fans to take the added heat. Something with the card, but no problem.
Still fly fishing? Still the 5870 in your sig? Time we cracked the wallets. |

No fly fishing but Bass fishing here in Florida. I gave up managing the Fly Fishing Forum.
Still with my same system with no upgrades. Playing older games and haven't needed to upgrade the 5870. It has been a solid video card. Been thinking about a new system with the new technology. Frank |
