Aloha,

Sorry if this is a noobish question but I read somewhere that you should not use the admin account on your computer all the time and that you should only use it when you need to. I just got my digital storm computer and have been using the admin account for everything but I was wondering if it would be better for me to create a second user for everything and only use the admin account when I need to.

Admin account is fine if by admin you mean that your account is the admin account and not the hidden admin account.

The reason behind the whole the thing is that if you are running admin account and you get hacked the hacker has a easier time getting around your pc with admin rights from the your admin account.

The reality is that no self respecting hacker would use your admin account vs the true hidden admin account. Either way, if a hacker wants to get into your pc, what kind of account you are running is the very least of your problems.

So just make sure you have a good security software like eset smart security and lot of commonsense cause thats 90% of your security.

Other then that if anybody likes to be 100% safe and secure on the net, I suggest they disconnect wifi and lan.
