Ok my new DS machine has been up and running for a few weeks so it's time pass on some good words to the staff at DS.
 
 
Everything for the most came in great shape after removing from the very stought box. Minor problems with one plug undone but an esy fix. First problem I had was at boot up. It failed. A call to DS tech got me up fast. Seems some how the board reset and DS talked me through the OC and other Bios stuff. Well done tech staff !

Ok my biggest complaint is the coolin fans on the rads. Its freaken loud. I requested, begged, posted called.... about my conserns regarding noise level and was assured it would be quiet. Well I guess what one person thinks is quiet is sure differnt from mine. I went into the bios and was unable to change the rpm's but the are stuck at 100 % which was strange. Its like a jet running in the distance lol
 
Other than the fan noise issue I am very happy with my purchase.
 
I cound not resist in adding a pic of my other "machine"

Awesome dude it looks like you'll have alot of fun with it! What games do you play on it??? I also noticed a box with 2 fans what is it for??

Right now I am catching up on games. Fallout 3 with mods is my fav, alone with WW2 Online, Mass Effect 2 and Dragon Age. What fans are you asking about ?

I seen  a few posts in your build thread stating that the liquid cooling was very loud, unless you asked for special fans, or to reduce the voltage to slow the loud ones down.

The fans are most likely plugged into a molex connection. In that case you cannot adjust them, but, we can purchase and sell you an adapter kit that we use for our noise reduction package to slow the fans down. An example of it is here: http://www.acousticpc.com/zalman_3pin_fan_resistor_56_ohm.html
 
You will also need to get an adapter that turns the 3pin fan option to molex so you can use it.

why can't you adjust fan that are on a Molex? I do it all the time. lol

Well i did request the fans be "quiet". I was going to get Scythe GentleTyphoon 120 mm but after talking to Sara and with the add one fees it just got to expensive.

I was thinking that since the fan is plugged in via molex, you can't plug it into a motherboard header pin to adjust fan speeds via BIOS. Unless you have another way of doing it? Such as the Zalman adapter or simply getting a molex to 3 pin adapter and plugging it straight into the motherboard fan headers?

I understand, but, there's not much we can do to slow them down unless you purchased the noise reduction package even without the foam and just pay half of the package fees just to ensure we add the Zalman quiet adapters to the fans.
 
We can still send them to you, or help you find some so you could still resolve the noise issue rather quickly and easily.

Yes, that can work, however, you will need to route the fan cables to the fan controller. You may need to purchase adapters so they can fit the 3 pin ports on the fan controller and even extension cables in order to reach as well.

I have directed some members here to run them at 7 volts, it will quiet them down quite a bit, but also they have to remember that temps will increase some. to run them at 7 volts is easy, and free.
Fan controllers can be great, but I personally have had a lot of them fail, so anymore I just make my own, or use quiet fans.

Alex if I would have known about the noise reduction package without the foam I would have purchased that in a heartbeat.

Oh well its still a GREAT system !!!! (minus the fan noise)

yep, justin's instructed me on how to reduce to 7v, it's ridiculously easy, free, safe, and it works

on a molex connector, yellow sends 12v, red sends 5v, and black wires are ground. naturally, yellow + black = 12v. connect red and black and you get 5v. interestingly enough, if you connect yellow and reg, you get 7v (subtract the two). to do this, get a thin paper clip, small flat head screwdriver, whatever fits around a molex pin. rip out the black wire it's connected to, and replace it in the slot where the red wire would normally be. just remind yourself that you shouldn't use the passthrough on the molex adapter, unless you wired up the passthrough the original way and make sure to remind yourself that the wires are color coded incorrectly now.

I have done a few tests with the foam, and there is little to no difference in temps. Also I use 2" thick acoustical foam that you would find in a recording studio, the thin stuff does not do much, but it does help a bit.

Understood. Perhaps we can start to offer a package without the noise dampening foam. I'll talk to the team about it.

Couple of other issues. i noticed on another build that his computer had three case badges on it. Mine only recieved one small case badge Sleepy
