Topic: Received PC now it is going back Posted: 21 May 2012 at 6:56am |
I received my computer last Thursday and was very excited. For those who don't know it is a fully loaded up PC, my dream pc, full liquid cooled and all. Was very excited so I opened it up very carefully checked all connections and components that could have jostled during shipping, and found none. Set the computer up and started it and commenced download of BF3 and Saints Row 3, the 2 games I am actively playing now. Long story short, my pc will not play the games, after a few phone calls and tech support my pc is heading back to DS. Mike the tech stated it could be the MB, memory, CPU or GPU's. But at this time it is heading back. Kind of depressing because this pc already was delayed during building due to overheating and audio problems that sent this pc from QA back to the builder. It took me a month to receive this and now it is heading back. I am giving DS the benefit of the doubt and will see if they can fix the multitude of problems emmitnating from this PC. Depressed in Seattle. John

They can fix anything. I've seen many customers have very many good experiences with anything support related.
Also - when you get it back - I'd love to see your dream PC.

Since its going back we can't help much here on the forums unfortunately. However, I will add my belief that DS will indeed take care of you. Doesn't mean its not upsetting that you've had a delay, and now another, I completely agree with you there. The plus side (if you can think of it that way) is that at least these problems were evident immediately after shipment, which will ease some of the added stress that occurs after the initial 30 day period. Once you get it all sorted out, please give us an update.

Thanks to all who responded, I will update you when I get it sent and they find out what is going on. I took some pics earlier but are on my other pc. I will get them and put them up. John

Quick question, how tough it is to "repack" everything?
how pro do you have to be?
also, when did you send it and did they receive it yet?

@retirednavysnipe, I'm sorry to hear about your situation. I completely understand how it can be a bummer when you wait for your awesome system and are unable to fully enjoy it. I did review your order and I do see that our team tried their best from every possible solution to pin-point the issue with no success. We're not sure what's really going on with the PC. I see that Mike issued a return service pickup request today, once the unit arrives back to our facility (about 3 days from where you are), I'll check up with the team to make sure we can get your system out as quickly as possible. I also understand that our team found some issues with the unit before it originally shipped to you, however, I do wish to add that those issues they found were not due to the issues you are currently having, those were resolved completely before the unit left.
