I have the above system and I want to upgrade system memory to 12GB. I am looking at the following at Amazon:

Crucial 12GB Kit (4GBx3) DDR3 1600 MT/s (PC3-12800) CL11 Non-ECC UDIMM Desktop Memory CT3KIT51264BA160B / CT3CP51264BA160B

Can someone advise me if this should work. Also, will this require a redo of the overclocking?

Hi bobl..... It looks good to me. The specs fit.   You can double check by going to a site like Crucial.com and using their memory compatibility tool.

Never say never, but cpu overclock shouldn't be affected. The memory controller is integrated into the cpu, but it's usually adding additional memory sticks, not so much capacity, that can affect the oc. I do remember, vaguely, where all the ram didn't show and the voltage in Bios, vtt I think, had to be tweaked.   But, my guess is a simple swap will work.

Thanks for the reply. The Crucial memory tool only shows single stick part, but the specs are the same as the sticks in this kit. I'll give it a try.

I got the following kit: Crucial Ballistix Sport 12GB Kit (4GBx3) DDR3 1600 MT/s (PC3-12800) UDIMM Memory
It installed without a hitch and did not affect the overclocking.
