Is anyone else haveing a problem with the "View Last Post" icon. When I click on the "View Last Post" icon I am taken to the firs post instead of the last post.

Hrm...
I was going to test this, but I can't seem to find a "View Last Post" icon or hyperlink. Can you explain where to find it to someone who's never used it? *points to his own post* |

Hi Roykirk,
The icon is at the extreme right of the thread listing. It is a gray arrow head right at the end of the screen name. Frank Edited by FrankW - 10 Nov 2014 at 2:54pm |

Ah, I finally saw it after reading your reply.
Same thing here: it just goes to the first post. EDIT: However, on multi-page threads, it at least goes to the last page, so it partially works. Edited by Roykirk - 10 Nov 2014 at 10:59pm |

I've never used it , until just now. Same here, goes to first post. Isn't it for going to the top of the page, first post of the page we're on? Just guessing.

If you hover over the icon its title is "View Last Post." I am sure it use to take me to the last post, not the first post on the last page.
This is a very useful feature. If you are following a thread with many post or pages, you can go directly to the last post. I follow some threads that I am not subscribed to and this saves scanning down the page every time I visit. If you guys don't use it, or don't think it is useful, then I won't bother Alex about it. Oh, I see now what you mean.
I was looking at the yellow up arrow at the top right of each post. Yes, the gray right facing arrow at the end of thread name does say last post, but goes to top of last page. I have never used them , but now that I see it, it would be a handy feature. |

Nice! This had been bugging me to pieces. But apparently not enough to get over my laziness and ask to have it fixed.

Well it is not working for me this morning. Now I don't know if it is my computer or it stopped working again. Can someone else check it this morning.

Thanks bprat22,
I have tried it on three different browsers and it still won't work for me. That doesn't make sense to me. Frank |

Frank,
I had the same problem. Took me to the first post. Finally just clicked on the last page number. After your thread brought attention to this problem, I tried the View Last Post feature and it worked. Problem fixed for me. My screen did go to the First Post -- but only briefly and then it went to the last post. Perhaps you should wait a few more seconds? Does it go to the thread first and then to the last post? Anyhow, it is working for me. |

I actually have the same issue Frank is having. It just brings me to the first post. I'm using Firefox so maybe it's the browser perhaps?

I got it working. I had to log out (clear cookies) and that helped. Right now it is working with the delay like others.
Dan, I don't think it has anything to do with the browser. When I was having the problem I tried Firefox, AE and Opera and they all failed. Lets hope it keeps working. I use that feature a lot. It saves a lot of time with long threads. Frank |

Hi Alex,
Well I thought I had it working but there are some quirks in how it works. Here is what I see so far. 1. If I am on the Forum Home page and click the Last Post Icon (LPI) on a catigory. I am taken to the top of the first page in the thread that the last poster posted to. 2. If I go a category like General Discussion and click the LPI I am taken to the last post in the thread as it should. 3. If I am on the Home Page and select Active Topics, a list of the recent threads are posted. If I click the LPI in a Active Topics thread it will take me to the First Post on the last page of the thread instead of to the last post in the thread. Alex, the one place this needs to work is in the Active Topics threads. It makes it so much easier to view the last post in a Active Topic to keep up with remarks as they are added to the thread. Valid point, the team has made some changes and now you can go to the actual last post in the "Active Topics" page. We can't make it work on the home section of the forums.
Hope this helps! . Edited by Alex - 24 Nov 2014 at 8:53am |

Now it works for me, too.. but I rarely use it...
I use the Active Topics and usually read the thread before I get to the end, simply because the short term memory isn't.. um.. the ... memory..... um... 16GB ?

Hi Alex,
After I edit a post the software returns me to the top of the page instead of directly to my post. I think that when I edit a post and click "Update Post" the software should take me back to my post. I think it use to do that but not now? Not a biggie but it would be convenient and work like most other forums. Frank |

Hi Alex,
Could you add a "Select and Buy" button for the Vanquish II computer. This is the green button, on the red bar, at the bottom of the Picture, when you select a particular computer to look at. The background of the picture is black. All the other computers has this button and it saves us from scanning down to the bottom of a long page. This is the button that takes you directly to the four different configurations of the computer. Understand if not possible. Frank Edited by FrankW - 05 Jan 2015 at 9:06am |
