Hi fellow DS techno-wizards. Its been a while since I've been on the forum and I need some advice from you veteran builders. I'm going to retire my 3 year old DS build to fulfill my dream of building my own rig. I'm currently selecting hardware for the new rig and after shuffling through many reviews, I still am not sure of which power supply to choose. I know it comes down to how the thing is manufactured and the materials used as well as testing for reaction under load. I want the best! If anyone knows of some good review links with comparisons or you just want to give me your "expert" advice on your experiences with PSUs, I would be much obliged. I'm looking for power supplies in the 1000w-1200w range. Thanks and happy gaming!Drooling

its been a while for me to...i perty much only will buy antec and now corsiar PSUs.
 
as you probably know, its best to get a sick SPU, so it does not fry your entire system.
 
personaly, i love my corsiar HX-850...and what would you be running with 1200W!
 
i have heard that the Corsiar 1200W psus had some problems when i was lookign 6 or 7 months ago.
 
but if your not tri sli-ing or somethign crazy, 850 should be fine...mines running a 6970 with lots of power to spair!
