I'm sure this has been discussed ad nauseam but just to put it to rest which CPU will I get better stable ghz from with stage 2 oc?
I will have ASUS P9X79 Deluxe, HafX case, 1050w Corsair PS, and Noctua NH-D14. Is the noctua enough to keep things cool? |

I believe both cpu's will oc to about the same level. DS will insure stability.
The Noctua D14 can be used on the 3770 but DS will ask you to pick the Vortex 240mm or better for the extra heat from the 6 core 3930 chip.

The OC speed is also dependent on the individual chip. Each K chip has their own caricaturists and even two chips of the same type won't necessarily OC to the same level. Pick your CPU depending on your application instead of what chip OCs the most.
